Kumbhalgarh, built by Rana Kumbha around 1448, sits on a ridge of the Aravallis and is ringed by a wall about 36 km long — one of the longest in the world. It is the birthplace of Maharana Pratap and, since 2013, part of the UNESCO World Heritage “Hill Forts of Rajasthan”.
